You need to click through to read this article, but I strongly recommend the read if you want to write quality blogs. There is nothing worse in my mind than a poorly scripted story. Everyone makes the odd mistake, but in today’s world, the simple ones are covered by spelling and grammar checkers (although there still doesn’t seem to be one here on Scoop.it but that’s another story.

I will not employ people who can’t write clear English, I don’t want to be represented in ways that will reflect poorly. If you want people to read and engage with you, show them the respect they deserve by taking care with your work and presentation. We have a wonderful expressive language in English, grow your vocabulary, read lots of good books.

Read the article and tell me that you haven’t made some of these mistakes in your eagerness to get your blog or story out. I have too. But I do my best to minimise them.

One of the things is proof reading. I often add read time to my blogs and this is one of the ways I do a final proof read.
