Luigi Cappel‘s insight:

I totally agree that blogs are very important as tourism tools, but I believe location based services are the most important. FIT’s need apps and tools to be able to find out what is going on around them in real time. It is one thing to read about the annual Huka Falls annual bathtub race, it is another thing to be in the area and be able to see that it is on today and it is near your current location.

I do also totally agree it is all about the story. I don’t think the average tourist looks for or regularly reads blogs. If bloggers use location based services such as Foursquare to tell people that there is a blog about locations near them, that might help. What do you think?
