See on Scoop.it – Location Is Everywhere
Google Maps is starting to look radically different. The new design that the search giant revealed last May—and has been testing with 20% of its users since then—is finally being rolled out to the rest of the world.
These don’t sound as massive as the headline suggests, but they are cool and it would appear that this product is now evolving into more of a real time planning tool. If the multiple trips included a multi-modal journey planner for example, that would be great. I love the visuals, but hope they will also remain accessible to people with low bandwidth.
All in all Google is doing a great job in its maps evolution and when you think of how far they have come since 2007, to be the global leader in web maps to the public, its pretty impressive.
