Instagram Testing Facebook Places Integration To Replace Foursquare

See on Scoop.itLocation Is Everywhere

Foursquare’s expansive venue database has long powered Instagram’s location services–but the photo-sharing service has started testing integration…

Luigi Cappel‘s insight:

This article just serves as a reminder that nothing stays the same, this is a journey and there is no final destination. All developers and service providers need to constantly look to innovate. Innovation doesn’t mean you have to do it all yourself.

Collaboration and co-opetition are key tools for the modern day services businesses. This often means looking at whether your ‘competitors’ have something you can use and that would be more cost effective to use than reinventing the wheel. If they have been doing it for sometime, money would be better spent enhancing their wheel than trying to build your own from scratch, especially if it is now a core skill.

Who could you collaborate with? It’s certainly something I’m looking closely at right now.
