GPS device aims to reduce police chase dangers
A launching system installed in the front grill of a police car shoots a miniature GPS module that sticks to the back of the car being pursued.
This fantastic solution is being tested in 20 States in the US today for car chases. So many Police chases end up in disaster where the suspect increases speed to avoid being caught.
This awesome device means that Poilice can track the offender by shooting a GPS unit at the car using something like suction cup technology. They can ease off on the chase, reducing risk to the officers, the suspects and innocent bystanders sometimes caught in between. As long as the devices themselves, which can be shot from a moving car, can be reused, or aren’t too expensive (what is one saved life worth) this is a great solution to a global problem.
